The annual Festival of Spheres was held this weekend in Palmar Sur just a few minutes south of the road to Osa Mountain Village. Vendors were displaying their wares and some good food was being cooked by locals. An orchestra from San Jose had made the 4 hour trip to come and play at the festival. Nearby, a tour was given that explains what archeologists know about the spheres which date back to pre-columbian times and are found only in the local region.
