One thing is for sure at Osa Mountain Village, life is never boring. In the last couple of months there have been so many things happen I don’t know where to start. Thanks to Bob & Lou Anne Crosby the food production at OMV suddenly looks like it’s on steroids. When I recently went down into the food production area of the property, after not having visited that section of the property for about 6 weeks, I could hardly recognize it. There’s a new chicken house, a food processing building, ducks with baby ducks, a new Tilapia pond, a new greenhouse, rabbits with baby rabbits and vegetables and fruits growing like crazy everywhere. I could hardly believe my eyes. The difference from the last time I was there was so huge.
Every Monday, Wednesday & Friday the staff that works the food area brings over a harvest of things ready for eating and thanks to some relationships that our staff has with neighbors we have been able to make trades for things we don’t have yet for things we have an abundance of. This week we had coconuts (with their water) on the food distribution table along with avocados, mandarin limes, a fruit I don’t remember the name of and several other new foods I have never tried.
All this growth is creating an opportunity for our buyers to get more involved in the sustainable side of our community and we are looking for people that are interested in helping with things like caring for the Tilapia, managing a medicinal & cooking herb garden, and even getting involved with starting an aquaponics project. So, if you or anyone you know of is interested in living the good life and escaping the rat race of the US or Canada, the pura vida life is waiting for them here in Costa Rica. So please send them our way soon. May was an amazing month with 5 sales of villas and home sites and June is looking like it will be bigger yet. Lots of new people are coming down to see first hand what the most amazing community on the planet looks like.
Come soon!
