Osa Oh! Naturium & Planetarium

Osa Oh! Naturium & Planetarium - Ink

There is a considerable amount of time, thought, designing, and planning before the completion of the construction of the Osa Oh! Naturium & Planetarium. The above and below are a couple concept drawings by Robert H. Stockton. They are intended to give you an idea and vision for this coming Osa Mountain Village Resort project.

As awe inspiring as the Osa Mountain Village Resort property is from the ground, this creation of God deserves appreciation from many different levels – literally as well as spiritually. While certainly a hike through the forest jungle on foot can be an exhilarating, educational, and even spiritual experience, imagine for a moment being able to hike upwards through the jungle canopy. The Osa Oh! Naturium will make this experience possible. With a naturalist guide to deepen the meaning of your experience, you’ll pause at a variety of levels on camouflaged platforms – allowing sounds of the jungle and the jungle animals and birds themselves to come close around you. Now, you’ll experience the jungle forest in a new and unexpected way.

And then, in the evening twilight, with a trained naturalist/astronomer guide, you journey through the jungle forest to the base of the gigantic ancient jungle tree that serves as the foundation for Osa Oh! Natural Planetarium. Climbing stairs to the very top platform, above the surrounding jungle canopy, and leaving the amazing nighttime activities and sounds beneath you, your attention is suddenly drawn away from the jungle – up, up into the dark, expansive Costa Rican night sky. As your guide provides a practical guide to the night sky as well as insights into the nature of the cosmos that now surrounds you, you gaze in amazement at the myriad of stars of our home galaxy that are splashed in a dazzling array across the velvet black Costa Rican sky.

The Osa Oh! Naturium & Natural Planetarium is a concept generated by the idea of these Pura Vida experiences.

Robert, What a beautiful concept. We really like the first design, on a safety point of view. Children can climb with safety and also some of us older folks to.

  2. Stairway to heaven… Maybe you can get Robert PLANT to cut the ribbon?
